Relic Games開發的最新策略遊戲《COH2》的開發進度。根據PCGamer UK的報道，許多關於這款優秀續作的細節已經公佈。在新作中你將回到1941年的東線戰場，指揮蘇軍保衛史大林格勒並一步步向德國境內推進最終攻克柏林。遊戲劇情將集中在東線，並出現大量的雪地場景。
在《COH2》中雪地並不僅僅是圖形效果而已，它同時也會影響遊戲操作。《COH2》中的雪地會有不同的濃度從而對踏雪而過的部隊的行進速度造成不同程度的影響，如果被坦克壓過雪地還會被壓縮，當然坦克也有可能陷入雪堆不能動彈，所以你在決定進行路線時一定要謹慎。
同時，《COH2》中將會引入一種名為
“真實視野”的設定。根據Relic所言，遊戲中玩家只能看到自己操作的單位能看到的視野。也就是說你將無法看到房子後面發生的一切，或是手榴彈爆炸產生的煙霧也將遮擋你的視野。如果你未能及時將部隊展開，你將對戰局發展毫不知情。這一設定也在遊戲的策略層面加入了更多變數，現在玩家需要更加注重偵查以及部隊的展開。還有，在本作中步兵單位可以越過矮牆。
《COH2》預定於2013年在PC平台上推出，Relic製作組許諾將會在遊戲策略層面進行更多改進，從真實的角度打造一個更加逼真的戰場，聽上去很令人期待。
