I also did these instructions,

First I install the SourceMod , I finished every step but

"Simply set the l4d_maxplayers CVAR to what you want in server.cfg (e.g. l4d_maxplayers 12), or -1 to disable override."

l4d_maxplayers CVAR? Where is the server.cfg ?

What is the meaning of CVAR??

I done these instructions, then I at SRCDS type l4d_maxplayers, but not working, just only appeared l4d_maxplayers 1 to disable override, and the Bots no responded.

where do type in l4d_maxplayers 12? Sorry Because it's really not clear  so hard to understand
