Four long months. Totally 88 players signed up for the NFS:C OpenCup Spring 2007. 32 of them was selected to the Premier League, and 7 players took part in the 8 groups of the Second League. Yesterday the cup came to the end, and although there were some problems because of noshows, we really hope you enjoyed the cup! Some of the players in the Second League showed a great performance, that will be enough for Premier League next season, also some players did slow times in the Premier League, they will take part in a lower division next time. We are in the middle of summer now, we hope you can relax in these hot days, of course we wanna do some relaxation for you in the following months too. As you maybe already know we will organise two quickcups during the summer, and both quickcups will consist an 1on1 and 2on2 cup too. The player who wanna win one of the quickcups must be good in 1on1 and in 2on2 (with his/her team) too. So, don't hesitate, create your team now, join the 2on2 ladder to practice, and wait for more information on the frontpage, ladder pages and forums of ClanBase. But back to the cup, we need check the final results and giving out some awards...

Premier League Finals : A deserved victory for QuiDxCaesarTFT!

So, the race of the races, the decider of the cup! In the previous match both Alan and CaesarTFT showed up incredible times, and with this stress and excitement I just cannot imagine how to race on this kind of level. This is like when the outcome of a war depends on a single frag in Counter-Strike, if the racers crash it's sure they lose. Fantastic how good these racers are! But now it's time: ready, steady and go! Our dreamrace started on Skyline Avenue again, and Alan just could not do anything with his last mistakes, the map was won again by CaesarTFT, this time with a new personal record. About the second level, I don't wanna talk, I just don't know what these players are doing... Only two players did 4'47 in this cup, and both of them did it in the cup finals again! Owned! The difference was 0.22 between them and the winner was Russian player Alan from team Virtus.pro! Ocean View came, the favourite map of Caesar, it was no question who won it. So, it was 2-1 to Caesar, he was near to win the cup, only one race was missing. Just try to imagine what kind of concentration is needed not to lose in a situation like this. Only few players are able to do this, and one of them is Virtus.pro|Alan. On North Broadway he was leading during the full race with Caesar in his back, the Italian player did everything, but he just could not do it, he crashed. Two against two, a draw again and only one map was left. The winner of that map won the NFS:C OpenCup Spring 2007 Season. But who was that player, Alan or Caesar? Bad times again on Brooks Street, I'm sure it was because of stress, both players able to run near to 5'50. But who did the better time? The answer is QuiDxCaesarTFT, he won our cup with this final victory! Congrats to Alan to give us this gift: making our finals unbeliavable! It was very hard work to reach the finals for the finalists in this season, two WCG champions, the full WCG podium, previous cup winners, but finally CaesarTFT did The Italian Job, and it was a deserved job by beating the WCG 2006 Winner in the Finals!
