10. Really Scary Cat
Forget about the black cat. This kitty is 10 times creepier.
9. Sam: The Ugliest Dog (RIP)
The Late Sam (RIP), a 14-year-old Chinese crested hairless who held theofficial title for, “The World’s Ugliest Dog” for the 3 years in a rowat the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, Calif. Sam was so ugly, that attimes he was mistaken for everything from a space alien to a burnvictim. Poor little guy.
8. The Hyena
How would you like to run into this hyena and his friends? This gives me the creeps. Look at his tongue! Yuck!
7. The Possum
I grew up in the south, so I’ve seen my share of possums (mostlyflattened on the pavement). Once one got into our back yard and wasjust going nuts. Hissing and growling. We called the animal control(dog catcher), and a guy came with this 10 foot pole with a wire nooseat the end. That possum was fierce, his teeth thrashing, making somewild sounds, and fighting like crazy…It was all the dog catcher coulddo to get that thing in the cage.

5. The Crow
Crows are scary. Why? Because they are so smart. Crows are in an groupof animals, including chimpanzees and a few other birds, that canactually make and use tools.
4. The Vampire Bat
Ah yes. The old vampire bat. The vampire bats use sharp teeth, to maketiny cuts in the skin of a sleeping animal (or you tonight when you aresleeping… Muah ha ha ha). The bats’ saliva contains a special chemicalthat keeps the blood from coagulating and clotting. The bats then feaston the blood that oozes from the wound. The bats secrete a 2nd chemicalin their saliva numbs the animal’s skin and keeps them from waking up.
3. The Centipede
If any of you live in warm and humid climates, then you know how grossthe American cockroach is. Well add a hundred more legs, make it waylong and slimy, and give it the ability to inflict an extremely painfulbite and you have a centipede.
2. The Botfly Larvae
The botfly looks harmless enough, but don’t be fooled. It is trulyterrifying creature. The botfly above is in the larval state. Theselarvae mature inside flesh. How do they get into your flesh? Anegg-laden female botfly captures a female mosquito and glues her eggson to it. When the mosquito is released and bites a victim, the host’sbody heat triggers an egg to hatch. It falls off and burrows into afollicle. The larva then secures itself with two anal hooks making itextremely painful to remove. A small mound forms, which if leftunchecked, will grow to the size of a fist. There was a video onYouTube, but it was removed due to the sheer nastiness of it.
